Ideas Portal (Closed)
The Surpass Ideas Portal is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years by submitting and voting on ideas, which have all been extremely valuable to the development of Surpass. We are no longer accepting new ideas via the IdeasPortal.
We still want to hear ideas form the Surpass Community, and in order to streamline the process we’re moving to a new innovations management system, which will allow us to efficiently manage and review ideas.Surpass champions within each organisation will have access to the new system and will be sent details of this soon.
All ‘open’ ideas on the Ideas Portal will be sent back to the parent organisation that submitted them, for review and resubmission on the new system where appropriate.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed.

Testing status for QA purposes
Situation:
An existing test has 3 test forms. All tests / test forms are live.
Centres can schedule.
Test forms are done through secure client.
Learners will be assigned one of the test forms (automatic selection and randomisation of test forms).I want to add a fourth test form. How can I QA the new test form without the risk of a centre/learner accidentally being assigned the new test form under automatic selection/randomisation? In order to schedule the test and test it through the secure client, I have to make the test form live. Could there be another status for…

To be able to flag a test as having suspected malpractice in Marking
It should be possible for an examiner to flag a test as having suspected malpractice in Marking and for this to prevent the test from being submitted to Moderation even if it is 100% marked. Once the malpractice investigation has been completed the flag can be removed and the appropriate action taken.

Candidate Search Function
I'm on the "#Setup/Candidates" page and at the moment it appears one can only search for candidates using the "Search by Ref" box. It would be very useful to have the ability to search by using First and Last names as well.

second chance
Within Saxion we generate summative tests on the tab Testform creation. We have made there a testform named Testmatrix with rules and for generating the first, second and third chance of this test for a certain year, we use the tab 'Generate Test' in this testform TestMatrix. However for the second and third or fourth chance of the same testmatrix, you really don't want to use the same questions. This moment you have to exclude already used questions in former chances by hand. This is taking a lot of time, and looks like an activity that could easily be automated. So…

Marking file attach questions
When marking a file attach question you see the same two icons as a candidate; download file and upload file. As teacher you need to click on download to check the file uploaded by the candidate. It is not possible to add corrections. It is also not possible to write corrections at all or you have to use "Notes", but notes are not mentioned to be used for writting the corrections (I think).
Here one should expect that download means download the file which was uploaded by the candidate. And upload means upload the candidates file again but this time…

Change subject group for an Exam
Every exam is made for a subject or a subjectgroup. We use subjectgroups because it is an exception that an exam only has questions from one and the same subject.
Sometime the structure of education changes. Then the same exams are needed in a different subjectgroup. Questions could be moved. It is possible to clone exams into a different subjectgroup, . But this workaround is so difficult, that it's a lot of work and in a lot of cases the workaround doesn't really work.
Why not make it possible to change easily the subject or subjectgroup for the exam.1 voteYour Idea its now live on our Surpass product.

Schedule: Import Candidates -> please make it possible to import known Candidates by Excel
Right now you need to type the Candidate Ref. + Date of Birth 1 by 1.
We like to import Candidates which are known as a Candidate in the Surpass system using an Excel sheet. Candidate Ref. should be enough. Date of Birth should be optional.43 votesYour Idea was successfully completed and its now live on our Surpass product.

Some of the test centres we will be using overseas will have more than 100 candidates in attendance. Therefore please can we upload more than 100 candidates when setting up an exam.
2 votesHi Romana,
The bulk scheduling function within the ‘Scheduling’ screen allows users to quickly schedule up to 1000 candidates for a test.
Does this meet your requirement?
