Ideas Portal (Closed)
The Surpass Ideas Portal is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years by submitting and voting on ideas, which have all been extremely valuable to the development of Surpass. We are no longer accepting new ideas via the IdeasPortal.
We still want to hear ideas form the Surpass Community, and in order to streamline the process we’re moving to a new innovations management system, which will allow us to efficiently manage and review ideas.Surpass champions within each organisation will have access to the new system and will be sent details of this soon.
All ‘open’ ideas on the Ideas Portal will be sent back to the parent organisation that submitted them, for review and resubmission on the new system where appropriate.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed.

Include item type in Raw Data Extract
We dont have any information on the item types, could we have another set of columns detailing this. E.g. information pages are included in the raw data extract, but it doesnt make sense to calculate stats on them, but we currently have no way of knowing for sure which items are information pages in order to filter them out.

Display void in the grade column for the Raw Data Extract
Currently were not showing if a candidate result is voided or not, they just appear as a 0 actual mark for the test, with all item data blank. Could we display void in the grade column if the test is voided. This is useful purely just to filter this data out when analysing.

Enhancements to the Centres Report
In the Reporting tab within the Centres Report Screen the following changes would enhance the report:
The line graph would be better displayed as a bar chart.
The x axis title "Month" should be renamed as the year used in the drop down list above.
The y axis title "Volume of Tests" should be renamed "Number of Tests"
The graph title "Centre Test Volume Statistics" should be renamed " The Number of Tests Taken".
The line label "Average" should be renamed "The Mean for all Centre".19 votesThis will be available with the next release.

Item Performance Report - present all questions together
Item Performance Report - present all questions together as well as in separate papers. It would be good to get the P values for questions across all tests so that we can have a reasonable idea about how an item performs over time and to eliminate the variables of particular cohorts.

Cronbach's alpha
In addition to the good suggestion put forward by someone else about the addition of the distractor values, we would like to have the cronbach's alpha included as well. It would be nice if the cronbach's alpha will be calculated for the entire test, but could be calculated as well for each section (unit) within the test.

Distractor value analysis
I miss one important element in the Item performance analysis table. Next to the p-value and the discrimination index, which give an indication of the quality of the question as a whole, I would like to see a discriminator value.
The discriminator value for the right answer is the p-value. But the discriminator value of the wrong answers is also important, because it gives information on how well the alternative works as a distractor. A poor distractor influences the quality of the item as a whole.
In practice a lecturer can quickly search for bad distractors and change them in…

How to show testresults to students?
Students take a test, for example an mc-test with 40 questions.
What I want do is. Analyse the test en than give the student an opportunity to see their own test including the right answers in an secure environment. The test should only be limited available (in time) and with a new password.4 votesThis is available through the Candidate Review Screen. Select the link below on how to use this feature:
