Ideas Portal (Closed)
The Surpass Ideas Portal is now closed.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years by submitting and voting on ideas, which have all been extremely valuable to the development of Surpass. We are no longer accepting new ideas via the IdeasPortal.
We still want to hear ideas form the Surpass Community, and in order to streamline the process we’re moving to a new innovations management system, which will allow us to efficiently manage and review ideas.Surpass champions within each organisation will have access to the new system and will be sent details of this soon.
All ‘open’ ideas on the Ideas Portal will be sent back to the parent organisation that submitted them, for review and resubmission on the new system where appropriate.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed.

Automaticly adding files to section tools
When creating a TestForm in Test Creation and questions are chosen with items who have Source Material or Media with the setting to open as a pop-up, the specific item should be added to the section Tools by hand.
For the most people this is difficult to use, because it's not clear which media they should add. This is why we now advise not to use pop-ups by Media and not use Source Material except pdf-files.
In my opinion it should be more helpfull that Surpass automaticly adds the needed files to the section Tools.

Question items within a Group should be able to be dynamically selected
At the moment a group can be created within an assessment which contains a fixed number of selected items which on delivery will scroll as if one question. It would be really beneficial if those items could be selected using rules dynamically. Therefore a group would contain a number of rules. This would result in each candidate being presented with a scrolling assessment/'question' containing items selected dynamically. Significantly increases the usability of this feature.

For paper based tests: I like to choose the font and font size for the whole test.
Right now you can upload a candidate and teacher cover when you create a paper based test. The font and font size of the cover page are not used through the whole test (the header and footer are).
This means the cover pages are for example Arial 12pt and the questions are suddenly Calibri 11pt. Especially for paper based tests, it is recommended to print the whole test in Arial 12pt (the cover the needs for those candidates who are dyslexic. The wish is to add a final step when generating a paper based test where you can choose the…

Automated selection Test profile
When in the Test Custom branding is selected there should be selected a Test Profile. I think it would be normal to select automatically the Default Test Profile. Now it's possible to have no Test Profile Selected and then the Test Style Legacy Navigation is used during Testtaking.
Another possibility to prevent this is to make the Test invalid when there is no Test Profile selected.3 votesThank you for your Idea.

Ability for learner to see correct answer on item review
In Itembank it would be useful to have an option where we could choose if a learner could see the correct answer to a question as part of item review at the end of an assessment. So at the moment they see a cross or tick against their answers but it would be useful to also have an option to highlight the correct answer if different to options selected. This should be configurable for each assessment created so option in IB. Initially for MCQ/MRQ only but could be expanded to other question types.

Change error message double questions or rules
When a Dynamic TestForm has exactly the same rules or a fixed test has the same question multiple times in the TestForm Surpass generates an error message:
1 paper could not be generated in a timely fashion. Cannot select a minimum of 1 questions from a choice of only 0 (.......) (0)For users it's not clear what they have done wrong.
Can you make the message more clear?1 voteThank you once again for your Idea.
