Regional Settings

About: By default, decimal points are used as number separators in Surpass, but site level users with the 'Manage Regional Settings' permission have the ability to change the number separator format to commas should they wish to.

Changing the decimal setting here will allow authors to set correct answers that include commas rather than decimal points, and will affect how candidates can respond to number entry question types. If the format is set to 'Comma', candidates will be able to enter a response including a comma as the number separator, and the response will be marked correctly.

To change the format of number separators, navigate to the 'Regional Settings' tab under the 'Site Settings' menu.

Select 'Save Changes' in the bottom-right of the screen to save your settings.

The default settings can be restored by selecting the 'Restore Default' button.
