How to Edit the Surpass Homepage

About: This guide will explain how users with Site Admin permissions are able to edit the homepage of Surpass. The homepage is a great way to relay information to all of your users, with the ability to edit text and upload attachments.

Step 1: Log in to Surpass
To edit the homepage, log in to your instance of Surpass.

Step 2: Edit the Homepage
After logging in you will be taken to the homepage, where if you have the relevant permission, you will see an edit button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Select 'Edit' to start making your changes. There are two editable text fields. The first field is intended for headlines, while the second larger field is intended for Site Administrators to present more detailed and user-specific information.

The text can be formatted how you see fit - you can choose from a range of fonts, text sizes, colours and can include links to other sites. Users are also able to add one attachment to the homepage, this could be a pdf, jpg or png file with a maximum file size of 20mb.

Step 3: Preview and Save Changes
Before saving, you can see how your edited homepage will appear to users by selecting 'Preview'. Once you are happy with the edits you have made, select 'Save'.

Surpass will inform you of: which user made the most recent homepage update, the date and time of the edits and the number of users that have seen these new changes.

The 'Seen by' number will reset to 0 after saving the most recent edits.
